What other insurances does Latrobe Health Services offer?

As well as value-for-money health cover, Latrobe Health Services provides its members with access to a range of discounted insurances via QBE Insurance, one of Australia's biggest insurers.

Travel insurance

Latrobe members can choose from a range of cover options, including the following:

  • Annual Multi-Trip. This option provides cover for unlimited domestic or international trips in a 12-month period where each trip is less than 60 days. This option includes medical, dental, evacuation and repatriation, cancellation and additional expenses.
  • International Comprehensive. This covers medical, dental, evacuation and repatriation, cancellation, additional expenses and more.
  • Australian Comprehensive. This provides cover for cancellation or rearrangement costs, additional travel expenses, repatriation and other benefits for travel within Australia.
  • Australian Cancellation. This is limited cover for the non-refundable portion of prepaid travel arrangements or additional travel, accommodation and meals for travel within Australia.
  • Inbound Travel Insurance. This option provides cover for non-residents travelling to and within Australia on a temporary basis for medical and cancellation, loss or theft of luggage, rental vehicle insurance excess and more.

Home and contents insurance

Also offered through QBE Insurance, Latrobe Home Insurance offers a choice of cover for your home, your house contents or for both home and contents. This cover includes the following:

  • Storm
  • Theft
  • Vandalism
  • Water damage
  • Temporary accommodation
  • Essential temporary repairs
  • Legal liability

Home Prestige

Latrobe’s Home Prestige policy offers full comprehensive home, contents or home and contents cover. The Home Prestige policy includes the following:

  • Accidental damage
  • Water damage
  • Glass breakage
  • Temporary accommodation
  • Essential temporary repairs
  • Legal liability
  • Contents outside your home

Car insurance

Latrobe’s car insurance through QBE offers five types of cover:

  • Comprehensive. The covers damage to your car and other people’s cars and property plus accidental damage, theft, fire, essential temporary repairs, towing costs, emergency accommodation, transport, legal liability and more.
  • Comprehensive (preferred/nominated). This only covers drivers aged 24 and over, or up to two named drivers and includes accidental damage, theft, fire, essential temporary repairs, towing costs, emergency accommodation, transport, legal liability and more.
  • Comprehensive (Driver age under 25). Prove you are a good driver by sharing your driving behaviour with an Insurance Box plug-in device or app and be rewarded. This policy includes accidental damage, theft, fire and essential temporary repairs.
  • Third Party Cover. This covers damage to other people’s cars or property, but not your own.
  • Third Party Cover with Fire and Theft. This policy gives you the same protection as Third Party Cover and also covers you if someone steals your vehicle or it is damaged by fire.

Caravan insurance

Latrobe’s comprehensive caravan insurance covers you for theft or accidental damage anywhere in Australia and includes cover for a replacement caravan, cost of alternative accommodation, fusion of electric motors and legal liability for damage to another person's property by your caravan.
