Last day to lock in EOFY health insurance deals

Gift cards, cashback, Qantas Points and more.
The end of the financial year is looming and today is the last day for you to lock down some of the great health insurance deals out there. And if you've turned 31 in the last year, it's also the last day for you to take out an eligible hospital policy or get hit with the LHC.
Whether you're looking to get health insurance to avoid the LHC, to avoid the MLS in the future or you just want a better policy, it helps if there's something to sweeten the pot. And there's little sweeter than a good EOFY deal.
This year we were able to find 20 EOFY health insurance deals to help you save if you're getting health insurance for the first time or switching to a new fund. These deals range from gift cards and waived waiting periods to frequent flyer points and cashback offers.

Looking for other ways to save on health insurance?
If you're looking to make your end of financial year deal even sweeter, you might want to look for a fund that allows you to prepay your health insurance premiums a year in advance. Yes, a year's worth of premiums isn't chump change but if you can afford to do so, some funds will reward you with an annual payment discount, some as much as 4%.
You can also save with some funds by opting for a direct debit, so keep an eye out for that too.
Other EOFY insurance deals
Health insurance isn't the only type of insurance you can save on come tax time. If you're in the market for income protection, you can get yourself a discount and a tax deduction if you prepay your premiums before 1 July.
If Qantas Points are more your style, Qantas Life Insurance is offering up to 200,000 points if you take out a Qantas Life Insurance and Qantas Income Protection Insurance policy before the end of the financial year.
