La Mer released a range of makeup products and we can’t wait to buy them
La Mer has launched a line of base colour cosmetics that promises to be just as luxurious as the original skincare products.
The line called Skincolor de la mer was released on 3 October for those living in the US, but just today for us Australians.
This new range of colour cosmetics is particularly special because it contains the secret ingredient to La Mer's success: The Miracle Broth. As a result, this is an extremely exciting range of products for beauty fanatics all over the world - cosmetics containing the same skin-healing and anti-ageing ingredients as the world-famous creams and serums.
There are three new products in the line: The Soft Fluid Long Wear Foundation $200, The Concealer $150 and The Powder $170. Plus, the line has introduced a special La Mer foundation brush and a powder brush designed to apply the new products.
While this may seem like seriously pricey skincare, remember that the signature Creme de la mer starts at $240 a pop. And given that these foundation products have similar skin benefits as the original skincare line, the pricing could have been far more outrageous.
In fact, the global brand president of La Mer told WWD that the foundation "works like a skin-care product, and even after someone takes it off at night, it’s still making their skin better. The more you use it, the better results you see."
Luxury skincare line La Mer is the pinnacle of beauty opulence. The skincare line was created in the 1950s when aerospace physicist Dr Max Huber discovered a skin-healing formula, which he dubbed "The Miracle Broth". Made from fermented algae, the broth healed Huber's chemical burns and went on to become the secret ingredient in La Mer's luxurious skincare products.
Australians looking to get their hands on the innovative cosmetics can head to La Mer's Australia website or David Jones where the range is on sale now. La Mer is also stocked by StrawberryNET and Cosme-De Cosmetics but unfortunately these two stockists are yet to have Skincolor de le mer listed as available for purchase.
