When Kat Von D announced she would be selling KVD earlier this year, we were pretty excited to see what would happen next. After a full re-branding, a name change to KVD Vegan Beauty and some new products, it seemed as if the beauty community had already forgotten about the former owner.
Now there's even more to celebrate – the brand's holiday launch which includes some brand new products.
Introducing the Edge of Reality palette, an array of 14 beautiful vegan shadows encased in a fully recyclable palette. It's available for purchase now from Sephora and it retails for $78, making this the perfect Christmas gift for your beauty obsessed bestie.
The shades and swatches of the Edge of Reality palette
The colour story of the palette features a combination of minimalist neutrals with some fun pops of colour.
You get to choose from six matte shadows: "Simulate" (warm brown), "Immersion" (light peach), "Code" (terracotta), "Illusion" (cool cream), "Levels" (medium grey) and "Escapist" (navy).
There are eight shimmer formulas to play around with: "Oculus" (warm gold), "Green Screen" (golden green flip), "Dimensions" (champagne), "Transformation" (plum burgundy), "Abyss" (black pearl), "Teleport" (rich purple), "4-D" (pink and blue flip) and "Critical" (ruby red).
These can be applied to the lid either wet or dry. If you've got the Shake Eyeshadow Primer, the brand recommends using this with the shadows for maximum colour pay-off.
How to recycle the Edge of Reality eyeshadow palette
For starters, you need to make sure all eyeshadow pans are empty. You can pop out the tray by simply placing your finger in the slot located in the upper right corner. Then, you need to follow your local recycling guidelines to recycle the tray with plastics and the outer palette with paper.
