One of the most popular deals in the Australian mobile market makes its much-appreciated return.

If you're looking for one of the best deals in the Australian mobile space, Kogan Mobile's $7.90 prepaid offer is a shoe-in for the top spot. For less than $8, you can take any of Kogan Mobile's 30-day prepaid plans for a spin, scoring as much as 23GB of mobile data along with unlimited standard national calls and text at a price cheaper than a paid lunch.

Sound too good to be true? Well, there is a catch: the $7.90 price tag only applies for your first recharge. After the initial 30 days have passed, the cost to recharge reverts to Kogan Mobile's regular pricing. To be fair, even its ordinary pricing is pretty good, with 6GB for $29.90 and 16GB for $36.90.

If you want to enjoy dirt-cheap mobile rates for longer than just the first 30 days, Kogan Mobile is also currently offering a two-for-one deal on its 365-day prepaid plans. So long as you can find another person to go halves with, you can score 16GB of monthly data at an equivalent rate of $16.45 a month for a full year.

To take advantage of Kogan Mobile's $7.90 deal, check out the table below. Kogan Mobile's prepaid plans make use of Vodafone's 4G network, which boasts coverage to over 22 million Australians or more than 96% of the population.

Which is the best pre-paid mobile phone plan for overseas use? I’m going to Italy for 6 months and I want to take my number with me during my stay in Italy. I will obtain an Italian mobile number but I also want to stay connected with my current mobile number and my provider (Virgin) has suggested I obtain a pre-paid .

      Hi Micaela,

Thanks for your question. Vodafone’s prepaid plans are a good choice for international roaming, as you can pay just $5 a day to use your regular call and data inclusions in select overseas countries, Italy included.

You can compare Vodafone’s prepaid plans, if you like.

      Regards,

      Matt
