What sports does Kayo let you watch?

Kayo has a library of over 50 sports. Its biggest highlights include every single NRL, AFL and home Australian cricket fixtures.

On top of Australian sport you can get America's big four leagues: the NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB. There are also things like UFC, motorsport (F1, V8 Supercars, MotoGP), golf and surfing. And it includes niche sports like lawn bowls and darts.

Can I get Main Event on Kayo for free?

No, Main Event events on Kayo are pay-per-view only which means you need to pay for them on top of your existing Kayo subscription. They're not included in the regular price of your subscription.

Is the Kayo Freebies the same thing as a Kayo free trial?

No, it's not. Kayo Freebies allows you to watch a very limited selection of live sport, shows, docos and replays that change each month. You still get access to all the cool Kayo features and there is no time limit, but the content quantity is small and you have no say in what sports are accessible for free. With a free trial, you could access all of Kayo's sports on offer for a certain amount of time without any cost, but this is no longer available.

How can I watch Kayo for free?

There is still one way you can get Kayo for free. Telstra personal post-paid customers are able to get a 14-day free trial if they're new to Kayo. You have to have a TelstraID and sign up via Telstra to take advantage of this offer.

Otherwise, if you're not a Telstra customer but still want to access Kayo content for free, you can still take advantage of Kayo freebies. But as mentioned, you don't get to choose which sports to watch for free, so they may not interest you.

Why has channel 513 been deleted? i watch tennis and now fox don’t have any.
I had to go to Stan at a $30 cost/mth. So now i will go to Kayo for our Rugby league. If i get rid of foxtel can i keep my iQ5 box for recording only?

      Hi Bev and Reg,
Channel 513 was beIN SPORTS, which left Foxtel and Kayo at the end of June 2023: https://www.finder.com.au/bein-sports-leaves-foxtel-kayo-2023
If you like to watch tennis, Stan Sport only has the Grand Slams, not the regular WTA and ATP tournaments that happen week in, week out. You can subscribe directly to beIN SPORTS CONNECT directly to watch tennis and you can read more in our guide: https://www.finder.com.au/watch-tennis-online
You can’t keep the iQ5 box if you cancel your Foxtel subscription otherwise you’ll be charged an an unrecovered equipment fee.
      Hope this helps.

Is there any way a couple of old pensioners could just watch Cowboys games cheaply???,,,

      Hi Richard,

We have a full guide on all the NRL fixtures here: https://www.finder.com.au/nrl-fixtures-draw
You’ll be able to look for when the Cowboys have a game on 9 and that way you can watch them for free. So if you’re happy to just watch whatever games are available on 9, then you’ll be able to watch a few games throughout the season for free. But if you want to watch every Cowboys game, you’ll need a subscription to a streaming service. The cheapest option is the Kayo One package, which regularly costs $25 a month and lets you stream on only one screen at a time.
      Hope this helps.

Can I pay and watch a PPV on a free trial?

      AaronMay 11, 2022Finder

      Hi Heidi,

No you can’t. Pay per views (PPV) are exempt from free trials. The only way to watch PPV content of any event not just PPVs on Kayo is to pay the fee for it.

      Cheers,
      Aaron
