Kava Swap is a decentralised automated market maker built within the Kava ecosystem. The primary purpose of Kava Swap is to provide cross-chain liquidity infrastructure to businesses and investors across the Ethereum and Cosmos networks. Kava Swap, and the Kava ecosystem as a whole, is powered by the Tendermint consensus engine.
The Kava Swap application provides a number of liquidity pools for investors to participate in, including KAVA, BNB, and ATOM/USDX trading pairs. Those that contribute to liquidity pools are entitled to a portion of the 0.15% transaction fee. In general, the platform for Kava Swap is a new way for investors to leverage the huge range of assets supported and held in the Kava ecosystem and to earn additional interest on their assets.
SWP is the native token of the Kava Swap application. It acts as the governance token for the platform. Holders of SWP are able to vote on proposals regarding adding new liquidity pools, changing the transaction fee, and other updates to the protocol. Additionally, SWP is part of a liquidity pool that investors can contribute to in order to receive rewards.
