Beauty product of the week: Kat Von D Inkwell Matte Liner
For an eyeliner that could cut glass look no further than Kat Von D.
Why we love this product
I don't wear liquid eyeliner too often. For some reason, I can never find one dark enough or by the end of the day, it's magically disappeared or rubbed off. I gave up on rocking a wing liner because it just didn't work.
However, when the Kat Von D Long-Wear Matte Eyeliner landed on my desk, the situation changed dramatically. First of all, I didn't even realise I wanted a matte eyeliner before it was a thing. Then it made sense that personally, I don't want a shiny eyeliner, I want black rather than black and matte. That is exactly how I'd describe this liquid liner in one sentence.

The brand released this new formula in order to create a liner that lasts 24 hours and believe me, it does just that. If anything, it can be slightly tricky to get off but that's not a bad thing in my books. However, when I use the Frank Body makeup remover oil, it comes off like a charm. This Kat Von D eyeliner does not budge, transfer or bleed.
I think my favourite thing about the product is the ability to really control the application. Applying wing liner isn't easy. We all know that. The felt tip allows me to control exactly how thick or thin I want the line or how dramatic I'd prefer my wing. Big tick.

This product doesn't even come in just a black either. There is Trooper Black (matte black), Vampira (a deep reddish-burgundy), Outlaw (brick red), White Out (pure white), Dark Wave (True Cobalt blue) and Dreamer (neon turquoise).
Now I know what you're thinking, a white liner? I simply had to test this shade to see if it really was pigmented and matte as it claimed, because hey, it's white! To say I was impressed is an understatement. I applied this liner on my eyes and on my hand to really give it the test of time. I did draw my lines twice to get it to the level of white I wanted but once it was dry, it did not transfer or run for the rest of the day, even though I was washed my hands throughout the day with a hearty amount of soap.
The best part is that these liners are also vegan and cruelty-free which simply makes my heart happy.
Affordability
Kat Von D is definitely one of the high-end brands known for being more affordable. These eyeliners retail for $32 and for the price and amount of ink within the product, I'd say there is definitely more bang for you buck.
So when and where can you buy them?
Luckily enough, us Aussies can avoid the international shipping fees as Kat Von D is available from Sephora. However, if you're after the exclusive shade Dreamer, this is only available on the Kat Von D website.
