Kat Von D is teasing yet another new addition to the 2018 line up

Could this lettering be the start of a whole new line for Kat Von D Beauty? We sure hope so!

Update: Kat Von D already doesn't have to do much for her to be one of our favourite girl bosses ever. She very evidently loves what she does and isn't in it for the money. As previously mentioned, her brand, Kat Von D Beauty isn't one she wishes to just churn out products in order to make sales and that's something we 100% respect and adore.

Less than a week a go she uploaded a hint of new products called 'Crushes' we will be seeing come 2018. They don't belong to any apparent collection and are just supposed to be a product in their own. However now, maybe one new product isn't all thats in the line up for the new year.

Kat Von D has uploaded yet another cheeky hint depicting the 'Finalizing artwork for an upcoming @katvondbeauty collection... '. So whilst the 'Crushes are supposed to be a single product, does this mean we will also be getting a brand new collection to come with it? Whatever Kat Von D has got cooking up we sure are excited and our expectations are high.

Kat Von D has always been incredibly invested in ensuring her makeup line, Kat Von D Beauty, is up to the highest standard for her supporters, and her latest Instagram post has confirmed her dedication – and a possible new line of products! As a tattoo artist, we definitely expect big things from Kat Von D, and the lettering for the upcoming "Crushes" products really does reflect her skill with the needle. Accompanying the image was a long, candid caption from Kat Von D, discussing how she plans to proceed with the line in the new year. "My plan is to release these 'Crushes' randomly throughout the year, once a formulation meets my [extremely high] standards, and just let you guys enjoy these special pieces as they come – without the pressure of an industry dictating when I should launch products," she said. Kat Von D Beauty has already produced a number of fast favourites in 2017, so it's interesting to see the brand's founder take such a stance on product releases.

This year we've had the release of the Saint + Sinner palette and in early 2018 we can also expect to see the new range of studded lipsticks, Metal Matte mini palette, Metal Crush highlighter palette, Kat Von D x Divine collaboration and Basket Case liner. The launches and announcements of these products were definitely unconventional in terms of timing, with a lot of surprise posts on social media to seemingly no schedule – but this fits into Kat Von D's new ethos as well.

"Instead of just pumping out products for the sake of making sales during seasons every year, I thought it would be better to release these special, one-off products that don’t necessarily belong to a particular collection and are just great products that stand alone on their own," said Von D.

"I just want to make high quality, #crueltyfree + #vegan products that are missing in the beauty word – even if it means missing out on competing sales. Sometimes, less IS more."

You can get your hands on Kat Von D Beauty products online or in-store at your local Sephora, and we definitely recommend checking out some of the classics – the Kat Von D Beauty Tattoo Liner is a cult fave.
