Banish dry and dull skin with this softening and smoothing body exfoliator.

If you're looking for something to give you that at-home spa feeling, Jurlique is here to help. Allow me to introduce to you the Smoothing Body Exfoliating Gel.

Jurlique is an Australian-made beauty brand that believes in giving back to the Earth more than we take from it. The ingredients are planted and harvested on the Jurlique farm in the Adelaide Hills.

The quick verdict

Why is it good? This body exfoliating gel effectively smooths and softens the skin.

How much is it? $48 for 200mL.

Where to buy it: Jurlique, Adore Beauty and David Jones.

The Smoothing Body Exfoliating Gel is formulated with tons of skin-loving ingredients. Rose Gallica flower extract works to hydrate and replenish the skin while reducing inflammation. This goes hand in hand with the green tea extract, a natural antioxidant that helps to balance and protect the skin.

Jurlique has also added an exclusive Bio-Intrinsic™ blend of Calendula, Lavender, Lemon Balm, Peppermint, Horsetail, Sage, Neem and Witch hazel. This is used for its clarifying and soothing effects.

To give you some serious exfoliation, Jurlique has included walnut shell powder. It promises to lift away dead surface skin cells and impurities, all without the need for micro-plastics which can cause serious harm to our oceans.

All of these ingredients work together to deliver a relaxing spa experience from the comfort of your own home – think soft, smooth and radiant skin.

The Smoothing Body Exfoliating Gel is free from sulphates, silicones, petrolatum, mineral oil, paraffin wax, PEGs, glycols, parabens, formaldehyde donors, GMO's, artificial colours or fragrances.

I've been using Jurlique's Smoothing Body Exfoliating Gel for the last few months, about twice a week. This product gets the job done when it comes to exfoliating and puts some life back into the skin. After use, my skin feels soft, smooth and looks super hydrated.

While I am totally against using a physical exfoliator on my face (the skin is too delicate), I do think this type of product can be used on the body. The skin on our legs, arms and back can handle this level of exfoliation, just be careful on more delicate areas like your chest.

Jurlique recommends using this on dry skin, before you hop in the shower. Personally, I've used it on dry and wet skin, and didn't feel much of a difference.

Picture not described

Jurlique's Smoothing Body Exfoliating Gel isn't cheap, retailing at $48 for 200mL. The luxurious beauty brand utilises Australian ingredients, so if you want to support brands made down under, Jurlique is a great place to start.

Do I think it's worth the price tag? While the formulation is beautiful, I don't think you need to re-purchase it again and again. There's plenty of other body exfoliators on the market.

However, I do think it makes a fabulous Christmas gift. Jurlique usually comes out with gorgeous gift sets for the holiday season, so keep your eye out for that!

Where to buy

You can shop directly from Jurlique online. The Australian-made beauty brand is also stocked at retailers like Adore Beauty and David Jones.
