Beauty product of the week: Jurlique Limited Edition Rose Body Oil
Perfect for a last-minute Mother's Day gift, this body oil smells beautiful and doesn't leave you greasy.
Why we love this product
I used to steer clear of body oils. Despite having seriously dry skin, I had always found that instead of making my body feel hydrated and smooth, it would just feel like I was covered in a greasy sheen. So when I set out to try the Limited Edition Rose Body Oil from Jurlique, I was bracing myself for a similar feeling. But it didn't come.
If you're big on rose, oils and luxury, you've literally got all three areas covered in just the one product here. Not only does it feel lovely on the skin, but it doesn't leave any greasiness or residue.
Personally, I don't like a super strong rose smell, so it was pleasantly surprising to find that although the scent is quite strong in the bottle, it settles on the skin nicely and doesn't overpower you.
If you're the kind of person who enjoys massages, this body oil is perfect. You can warm it up in your hands before applying, and given that it glides on as smoothly as a moisturiser, it's an obvious choice for a massage.
The Limited Edition version of the Rose Body Oil was actually released for Chinese New Year, so it's packaged in a rich crimson colour with images of roses. As an extra tidbit, roses are actually meant to be lucky for anyone born in the Year of The Dog, which I am.
All in all, the Rose Body Oil is a really hydrating and relaxing product that beautifully sinks into your skin (especially after a nice hot shower). And if your skin is dry, it'll thank you for this.
Affordability
The price ranges from $59 through to $88 depending on where you purchase it from, so make sure you have a look around before committing to the purchase. Some retailers also offer Afterpay so you can pay it off in instalments.
Where can you buy it?
You can purchase the Jurlique Limited Edition Rose Body Oil from Jurlique itself, otherwise you'll find it at David Jones, Adore Beauty and Myer.
