It's never been a better time to visit the Apple Isle with these low, low prices.

  • Lowest prices we've seen on these routes in recent weeks
  • Up to 30% less than other airlines (as compared on KAYAK )
  • Travel dates include three seasons

Jetstar's Tassie Sale has landed some red hot prices for the chilly winter months.

The cheapest tickets in this promotion start at $35 flying from Melbourne to Launceston.

Dates are available from June to mid-December, covering the winter ski season and spring.

Sales prices continue with:

  • Melbourne (Tullamarine) to Hobart from $39 one way
  • Sydney to Launceston from $41 one way
  • Adelaide to Hobart from $59 one way
  • Brisbane to Hobart from $65 one way

The Tassie sale is available until midnight 14 April unless sold out prior.

How do these prices compare?

With the addition of government-supported half-price flights in this deal, there are some low prices to take advantage of.

The fares we've highlighted above are cheaper than they were in the recent half-price flight sale by nearly 10-20%.

The greatest change was the Brisbane to Hobart fare down from its starting price of $79. That's $14 more for your hip pocket.

What's the catch?

  • Flexibility: Good. If you need reassurance, you can add Jetstar's FareCredit to your airfare, valid for three years from purchase. The credit will cover your fare and any extras you choose if you have to cancel. Additionally, all bookings with Jetstar vouchers will be returned if the flight is cancelled or affected by border restrictions.
  • Airline: Good. Jetstar is a budget airline aimed at getting you where you want to go for as cheap as possible. This means checked luggage, extra legroom and meals come at an additional cost.
  • Travel time: Great. Don't worry about stressful transfer times with these direct flights.
  • Weather: Good. Although December to March is the best time to visit Tassie, there's plenty to do in winter. Hike the snowy Overland Track in alpine conditions or hit the ski slopes in the Ben Lomond National Park.
