How good are these Jetstar sale fares?

Jetstar has served up some great prices today. These Sydney to Ballina Byron fares are the cheapest on the route for this upcoming June period. However, we did find Virgin Australia seats starting from $55 in the same period (as compared on Skyscanner).

For $10 more flying with Virgin gives you the benefits of checked baggage and seat selection – extras you have to pay at least $20 for with Jetstar.

This Jetstar sale is available until 8pm AEST Friday 4 June 2021, unless sold out prior.

These fares at a glance

  • Good flexibility: For peace of mind you can add Jetstar's FareCredit to your airfare, valid for 3 years from purchase. The credit covers your fare and any extras you choose if you have to cancel. All bookings with Jetstar vouchers will be returned if the flight is cancelled or affected by border restrictions.
  • Good airline: Being a budget carrier Jetstar charges extra for checked luggage and refreshments.
  • Great travel time: Don't worry about long transfers with direct flights.
  • Great weather: September to November is the best time to visit Byron Bay. Surfers can take advantage of the perfect weather to catch powerful swells while beach-goers can enjoy the comfortable temperatures and smaller crowds.
