Jetstar sale fares to Japan down to $299 return
It may be Jetstar's birthday, but you get all the presents.

The annual Jetstar birthday sale is on right now and in it are not-to-be-missed return for free fares on domestic and international flights. Of the extensive list of routes on sale, one of the best international breaks is to two of Japan's most popular cities, Tokyo and Osaka.
Both cities have flights from Cairns for as little as $299 return.
Flights from Gold Coast start from $320 and are to Tokyo (Narita) only.
While these fares aren't quite as cheap as the Japan return for free sale in February, which had flights to Japan down to $249 return, it does come surprisingly close. The current fares also include a wider breadth of travel dates, spanning August 2017 to March 2018, including Japan's winter ski season.
Jetstar is only advertising flights from Cairns or Gold Coast but if you're departing from another city, say Sydney, there are return for free fares you can book separately to these Queensland departure points.
For a quicker and potentially cheaper fare, Wotif has the answer. At the moment it has flights from Sydney to Tokyo (via Cairns) for $379 on select dates in February. We selected 13-25 February to get this price, however you can choose various other dates at similar price points.
Jetstar's birthday sale fares don't include checked bags, assigned seats, in-flight entertainment or meals, but all can be added on for an additional fee.
