How does the 2021 sale compare to previous Jetstar Black Friday deals?

Jetstar's 2021 Black Friday sale is an exciting one, the airline has dropped flights from $29 each way available all weekend long.

Jetstar's Black Friday 2020 sale with fares from $39 each way, was a pretty cheap deal, packed with summer holiday dates. Those are peak season dates.

Because of the kind of prices we've been seeing lately from Jetstar we're hoping it will knock it out of the park when Black Friday arrives.

Why should I book a Jetstar Black Friday deal?

  • Prices in the past have started at just $39 each way, meaning return tickets are less than $100.
  • Jetstar ranked the best low-cost airline in Asia/Pacific by Skytrax in 2019.
  • Price beat guarantee: Find a cheaper fare and Jetstar will beat it by 10%.

What should I consider when booking travel during the COVID-19 pandemic?

  • Travel restrictions. International travel from Australia is allowed but many countries are yet to open up to Australia. Check the rules before booking. We're expecting any Jetstar Black Friday sales to include international fares, they're likely to be for future dates when the airline expects a country to open up. Domestic bookings are affected as well, check out the latest domestic travel restrictions to see where you can go and what permits you may need.
  • Flexibility. Borders can change rapidly. For peace of mind book options with flexibility. Jetstar offers a credit voucher in case of cancellation due to border closures or you can add FareCredit, paying a little more to ensure a full refund of you flights and any extras if you have to cancel.
  • Travel insurance. Travel insurance can save you from stress if things go wrong. Some insurers may cover you for COVID-19-related claims, and otherwise can cover you for lost, stolen or damaged items, or cancelling your trip.

How do I get a good Jetstar Black Friday deal?

  • Be flexible with your dates. Flights are more expensive over holiday periods like Christmas, Easter and school holidays. The more room you have to book flights on weekdays outside of peak times the more likely you are to get a good deal.
  • Do your research. Having a plan for where you want to go will keep you focused and help you avoid making impulse purchases.

Does Jetstar also run a Cyber Monday sale?

In 2019, Jetstar's Black Friday sale ran for 4 days and also included Cyber Monday rather than having a separate sale. 2020's Jetstar Black Friday sale was much the same, running from Friday through to midnight Monday, so it's likely there won't be a specific Cyber Monday sale on 30 November this year.
