The Jeffree Star Cosmetics concealer has leaked and here's everything we know so far...
UPDATE: 3/4/2019 5:34am: Well. The last 48 hours has been jam PACKED with drama surrounding the Jeffree Star Cosmetics brand. But now we know that this concealer is officially coming in late April and in 30 whopping shades! If that wasn't enough, Jeffree revealed that the setting powder would be launching around the same time in eight shades.
So here's a little summary of everything that has happened so far.
On Monday afternoon a photo was posted on Facebook claiming to be the as yet unreleased Jeffree Star concealer, with a girl on there claiming she could get the product and sell it (which is very much illegal, kids). As a result, and to no surprise to anyone in the cosmetics world, this little bit of info blew up online as many fans didn't know if the concealer was real or if the post was an April Fools' Day joke.
After looking into the trademark evidence and previous tweets made by the beauty blogger, it appears that the upcoming launch was very much the real deal. It was only a few hours later that Jeffree Star personally confirmed via Youtube that one of his products had been leaked and that he would explain all.
Today Jeffree uploaded a 16 minute clip (short for his average length) explaining the robbery of $2.5 million worth of product from his warehouse, where the perpetrators stole the recent Blue Blood collection, Northern Lights Palettes and of course, the now infamous concealer. In fact, they stole a whole shade called C5.
Despite the robbery, it's not all bad news as Jeffree announced that rather than cancelling the product, delaying the launch or changing the packaging that instead he will bring the launch date forward to late April, which is definitely sooner than anyone expected.
"When will the launch be? I'm probably going to fast track that and push it up a little bit... so I'm going to do the reveal on my terms in a few weeks and I cannot wait for you guys to come on the journey of the first ever Jeffree Star Cosmetics first ever skin product." he said in the recording.
In the meantime Starr says he is working with the FBI to track down the people who stole his product and are now selling it on the Black Market. He also urged fans to not purchase any concealers at the moment as these are highly likely to have been stolen.
UPDATE 2/4/19 12:40pm: The drama of the leaked Jeffree Star Cosmetics Magic Star Concealer continues to unfold. Via his Twitter account, Jeffree Star himself has confirmed that no one on the inside was "selling" the concealer. In fact, he said "It's something 20 times worse" and we seriously feel for the beauty blogger.
He took to Twitter and Instagram to let his followers and customers know that he finished filming his Youtube video and it will be up tomorrow explaining the situation and what really went on.
UPDATE 2/4/19 7:41am: Jeffree has spoken out for the first time following the leaked concealer on his Instagram story. In the video, Jeffree revealed that there is more going on behind the scenes with this whole drama.
The blogger stated that he'd "gone ghost" after the launch of his Blue Blood collection but revealed he'd been dealing with some things behind the scene.
However, he did confirm that in the next two days he would be sitting down and filming a video about the current concealer situation. The beauty blogger said that he knows about the "leaks going on online" and says that "there is so much more to that story... there is a whole back story leading up to what is happening". From what Jeffree is saying, it seems as though this ordeal has been going on for some time before the actual leak happened.
He did finish off on a high note stating that "palettes are shipping, business is booming and I'm not going to be affected by this" and honestly we couldn't be prouder.
The makeup community is abuzz with some pretty big news today. Just hours ago the Jeffree Star Cosmetics upcoming concealer leaked onto the Internet and it looks pretty legit.
While the beauty blogger and founder of the brand, Jeffree Star, is yet to comment or confirm that this is the actual product, the evidence seems pretty telling.
Let's break it down.
A woman posted to a closed makeup group on Facebook claiming:
"Here are pictures of the UNRELEASED Jeffree Star Cosmetics Concealers. These [concealers] come from my supplier as they came in from the warehouse. They're fully stocked."
The image itself depicts the concealer tube, a wand with a crystal topper and angled doe-foot applicator and the packaging in the background that says "Magic Star". It seems as though the product was potentially sent to the warehouse early and someone has snuck a picture and a few samples as they were claiming to resell them. Obviously, this is totally illegal and we're sure the story will unfold more.
Jeffree Star confirmed he was launching foundations and concealers last year in April and that the concealers would indeed be called Magic Star. Jeffree Star also trademarked the name Magic Star along with a diagram of the component which matches the photo from the Facebook group.
Jeffree also previously stated on his twitter that the concealers would be launching early 2019. This means that is just about the right time for these bad boys to be ready.
My first ever concealer formula launches early 2019! 😇 I kept getting product stuck in my nails so it's time for a break while I work on the photo shoots.. and while I'm working on the #JeffreeStarCosmetics foundation 🔥 #comingsoon pic.twitter.com/7dRFJtIbkr

Above everything and all the drama, if we're just looking at the product itself and the swatch of this concealer in the photo then damn. The pigmentation looks incredible and we're really hoping this is legit. Even though Jeffree wasn't the one the reveal these concealers (and definitely should have been), we're still completely obsessed with them.
This leak comes just after Jeffree Star launched the Blue Blood Collection featuring an eyeshadow palette, liquid lipsticks, lip scrubs and liquid highlighters, which is now available on Princess Polly and Showpo. For now, we'll be keeping our eyes glued to the beauty blogger's Instagram and Twitter because we know a very spicy announcement will probably follow suit. Stay tuned for updates.
