Jeenee Mobile adds $20 Pennywise plan

2.5GB of data for just $20 is a pretty tasty deal.

If there’s one thing that has defined mobile plans in 2016, it’s the increasing value that you’ve been able to score for a relatively low sum.

Jeenee’s latest Pennywise Essentials plan is a case in point, offering unlimited standard national calls between Jeenee users, $200 worth of credit and 2.5GB of data for just $20 per month. That’s not going to be ideal for anyone wanting an unlimited calls plan, but if your calling needs are modest and you’re more data-centric, $20 for 2.5GB isn’t a bad deal by any stretch of the imagination. Jeenee Mobile's Pennywise Essentials plans very much play in the budget end of the spectrum, such that the new $20 plan is actually the most expensive at this tier.

The plans do allow for unlimited calls between Jeenee Mobile customers, which means in theory you could opt for two Pennywise $20 SIMs and enjoy 5GB of data between two phones that could call each other endlessly.

Jeenee Mobile’s plans operate on the Optus 4G network. If you do want more than that calling quota, Jeenee has also been busy recently dropping the price on its $45 Pennywise Unlimited plan down to $40 permanently, as well as offering a temporary price cut for that now-$40 plan and the smaller $35 plan for the first three months of each plan.
