JB Hi-Fi Perks is being rolled out nationwide.

It has been operating on a trial basis in Western Australia starting earlier this year. Now, anyone in Australia can get in on the fun, all for a price of $0.

All you need to do is create a JB Hi-Fi account, which can be made even easier by linking it up to your Facebook or Google profile.

Here's what signing up for the program will net you.

JB Hi-Fi Perks program

  • Exclusive member discounts: There's no word yet on how sizeable these exclusive deals may be.
  • Early sales notifications: Get in the loop before anyone else when JB Hi-Fi's biggest sales roll around.
  • Birthday perk: Let JB Hi-Fi know your birthday and receive a gift on the special day. At this point, we have no idea what this gift might be, but isn't that what birthdays are about?

The verdict

This is an easy one. If you're a frequent JB Hi-Fi shopper, there's no reason not to jump on this program.

In fact, the $10 welcome coupon alone should be enough to have any savvy consumer signing up for the JB Hi-Fi Perks program.

With sales like Black Friday on the horizon, early notifications and exclusive discounts could prove very impactful indeed.

While the service already provides great value on a $0 investment, we'll have to see just how impressive its exclusive discounts and birthday gifts are to find out how it stacks up against other free member programs.
