Get yourself to Rome this month, the next or the one after. China Southern Airlines has a hot seat-filler sale, with flights to Italy dropping under $800.

Starting fares are Perth to Rome for $794 return, Adelaide to Rome for $836 return, Melbourne to Rome for $871 return and Sydney to Rome for $897 return.

Timing varies by departure city, but all flights are for the upcoming October, November and December. Those are all pretty good until you hit the peak Christmas period, with low prices and fewer crowds. In a tourist-thronged city like Rome, that counts for a lot.

Price-wise these are all fantastic. If you've been waiting after cheap flights to Rome, then you've just found them. Safe to say it doesn't get much better than this. The catch is probably that you have to take a bit of a detour through China on the way, so it's a fairly long trip.

But if the price is right (and it is) and the dates suit hit up BYOJet to book. When you arrive on the homepage, simply click the "Top Deals" button to find these deals.

As this is a last-minute sale, seats at these prices are available until sold out.
