OVO offers a diverse range of streaming sports offerings, with everything from fast cars to esports on offer.
Many telecommunications companies differentiate their offerings with free entertainment offerings, and OVO is no different in this regard. Actually, that might be underselling the wide range of sports and entertainment streaming options open to customers of OVO's mobile and broadband services.
OVO's coverage of esports in Australia comes via the Australian Esports League, with a five-year deal recently signed that gives OVO exclusive access to all of the AEL's online esports contests. That covers games such as DOTA 2, Rocket League, Tekken 7, CS:GO to name but a few. As with OVO's other streaming ventures, it's accessed through the OVO Play app or portal, and access is free of subscription fees or data charges.
In July 2018, OVO added rugby to the growing list of sports included in its OVOPlay catalogue. Partnering with the Brumbies, OVO will initially broadcast every Brumbies Match of the Week from the ACT Club Rugby John I Dent Cup along with highlights and behind-the-scenes interviews. OVO has plans to expand its rugby content by partnering with other teams, too, with the aim of allowing teams to live stream their own matches on the platform by early 2019.
OVO made its splash into the Australian market with rights to the V8 Supercars, and while it no longer streams those events, it has kept its petrolhead branding strong, with coverage of a wide variety of Australian and international sporting events. Subscribe to OVO, and you'll gain access to subscription and data-free streaming of:
- 400 Thunder Professional Drag Racing Series
- Australian GT
- Formula Drift
- Virgin Australia Supercars
- World Superbikes
If you're a fan of the Australian 18-footers sailing competition, OVO is the place for you with competitions and catch-up content available to stream. Once again, there's no associated subscription fees, and any content you watch through OVO Play also won't impact your plan's data quota one jot.
OVO's exclusive deal with Gymnastics Australia sees it show a range of Gymnastics competition events and content through OVO Play, with no data costs or subscription fees as long as you're an OVO subscriber.
OVO's a sponsor of the Water Polo in Australia, and as a result it has naming rights to what is the OVO Australian Waterpolo League competition. Naturally, that means that it also streams a variety of Water Polo content, including Australian and FINA championship matches, interviews and news. As with the rest of its sports streaming offerings, it's all free to access through the OVO Play app or portal, and on mobile devices you won't use up any of your data while doing so.
