Many telecommunications companies differentiate their offerings with free entertainment offerings and OVO is no different in this regard. Through its OVOPlay platform, it provides a wide range of free sports and entertainment streaming services not only to its customers, but to all Australians across the country.

In addition to an impressive catalogue of free sports and entertainment coverage, OVOPlay houses a select few premium streaming channels that require you to pay a subscription fee. This fee differs from channel to channel depending on the sport involved.

Below you'll find a round-up of the sports and entertainment offerings available on OVOPlay.

OVO's coverage of esports in Australia comes via the Australian Esports League, with a five-year deal recently signed that gives OVO exclusive access to all of the AEL's online esports contests. Games covered include:

  • DOTA 2
  • Rocket League
  • CS:GO
  • Rainbow Six Siege
  • Hearthstone
  • PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds

In July 2018, OVO added rugby to the growing list of sports included in its OVOPlay catalogue. Partnering with the Brumbies, OVO initially broadcast every Brumbies Match of the Week from the 2018 ACT Club Rugby John I Dent Cup along with highlights and behind-the-scenes interviews. On the premium side, OVO offers coverage of the Rugby World Schools Festival.

OVO made its splash into the Australian market with rights to the V8 Supercars and while it no longer streams those events, it has kept its petrolhead branding strong with coverage of a wide variety of Australian and international sporting events. Subscribe to OVO and you'll gain access to subscription- and data-free streaming of:

  • Red CentreNATS
  • 400 Thunder Professional Drag Racing Series
  • Formula Drift
  • Rally Cross
  • World Superbikes

If you're prepared to pay extra, you can also get access to the 400 Thunder Drag Racing Series.

If you're a fan of the Australian 18-footers sailing competition, OVO is the place for you with competitions and catch-up content available to stream. Coverage of Australian 18 Footers events includes the JJ Giltinan trophy and the SuperFoiler Grand Prix.

OVO's exclusive deal with Gymnastics Australia sees it show a range of gymnastics competition events and content including the Queensland Club Championships, the Australian Gymnastics Championships and the Trampoline World Champs.

Water polo

OVO's a sponsor of the water polo in Australia and as a result it has naming rights to the OVO Australian Waterpolo League. Naturally, that means that it also streams a variety of water polo content, including Australian and FINA championship matches, interviews and news.

Coverage of the Badminton World Federation is available as a premium channel through OVOPlay. Along with BWF competitions, you'll be able to watch the Singapore Open, the Malaysia Open, the Indonesia Masters and more.
Badminton Racquet

Another premium service, OVOPlay's wrestling coverage encompasses a variety of professional Australian leagues including Newcastle Pro Wrestling along with a schedule of Black Label and Green Label events.
