These fashion and beauty brands are celebrating International Women’s Day with a sale
Today is International Women's Day 2017 and some of our favourite retailers are celebrating in the best way.
International Women's Day is celebrated every year on 8 March and looks to highlight the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. Last year's theme focused on taking action against gender parity for everyone and asked leaders across the world to act as champions for this ideal.
In 2017, the theme calls out to the masses and people all over the world, asking them to be bold for change. According to the organisation's website, at our current rate of change the World Economic Forum predicts that our gender gap won't close entirely until 2186.
The organisation is encouraging people, globally, to join forces and take action that can drive change.
According to the International Women's Day Website: "Each one of us - with women, men and non-binary people joining forces - can be a leader within our own spheres of influence by taking bold pragmatic action to accelerate gender parity. Through purposeful collaboration, we can help women advance and unleash the limitless potential offered to economies the world over."
In celebration of this message, a few of our favourite retailers (like THE ICONIC and ARIS) are doing what they can to get the message out there and holding a sale in honour of International Women's Day. With discounts on men's and women's items, these online stores are not only offering us a midweek treat but also helping to publicise the important message of #BeBoldForChange.
