Fast facts about Iceland

Where is it? In the north Atlantic Ocean between Greenland and Norway.

How do I get there? Iceland can be reached with just one stopover if you fly via Vancouver, Los Angeles or Dallas. However, the cheapest way would be to connect with a budget carrier like WOW (from a city in North America or Europe), which may mean stopping twice along the way.

When should I go? July and August are the warmest months, but if you'd like to see the north lights, the winter months from November to February will be the best time to visit.

What should I do? Relax in the Blue Lagoon and other hot pools, feel the rush of waterfalls like Gullfoss, walk along the unique "diamond" beach with black sands.
