ibVPN | Price, plans and features

ibVPN could be a solution to unblocking geo-blocked content and browsing the internet anonymously.

About ibVPN

Invisible Browsing VPN (ibVPN) is a Romanian company and has been around since 2003. They claim to have serviced 500,000 people in 130 countries by granting them unrestricted access to the Internet through a VPN. They offer very competitive pricing and have a strong focus on customer service.

There are many legitimate uses for a VPN. However, the legality of using one to access geographically restricted content is a bit of a grey area. While you're not likely to attract the attention of the Australian Government, you do run the risk of having your VPN or streaming subscription cancelled. There is also the chance that a copyright holder may want to pursue legal action if you're found to be accessing that content in an unlicensed region. Keep in mind that the very nature of a VPN masks your IP and prevents your online activity, so it's not for us to say if and how the copyright holders would be able to identify you if you do choose to access their content without the proper licensing. Here at finder.com.au, we do not encourage internet browsing activity outside the law, we only aim to compare the services available to Australians.

Frequently asked questions

No, you don’t. Netflix has now launched here in Australia, and so can be accessed right here on our shores. Some people have used a VPN to access the US version of Netflix in the past, but once the Netflix library grows over here it’s likely those numbers will reduce.

Like most things in life, there is no “best” VPN provider, there is really only the best for you. We’ve reviewed a lot of them here at finder.com.au, so why not look around our other guides and compare. That’s what we’re here for after all.
