Huda Beauty foundation

Huda Beauty has set its sights on a foundation that will do the job of an Instagram filter: The #FauxFilter collection.

Huda Kattan's makeup line is immensely popular for its pigmented eyeshadows, glowing highlighters and eye-catching false lashes, but just you wait because it's about to get even more hype. Prime your skin, the #FauxFilter foundation range is dropping this month!

We've been getting hints and sneak peeks of this foundation range for a long time, but it's official: the range will be released at Sephora on 13 October.

What kind of foundation is the #FauxFilter?

Forget your Instagram filter, this full-coverage, paraben-free foundation range is designed to produce a blurring effect that will reportedly render you flawless. Perhaps the biggest positive is the range of shades. Huda Beauty is the latest brand to expand the colour range for their collection, with 30 shades of foundation with varying undertones, echoing Rihanna's Fenty Beauty foundation launch. It's also worth noting that the range also includes the new Buff Blend Brush and Complexion Perfection Primer for maximum effect.

Named after cakes, cookies and nuts, the shades range from Milkshake to Hot Fudge, and if the names alone aren't enough to make you hungry, Huda Kattan also posted swatches on her Instagram to illustrate how the shades look on different skin tones.

Where can we get the #FauxFilter foundation in Australia?

Huda Beauty's line is currently available at Sephora, so we can expect to see this latest addition on the shelves there soon. Usually, Sephora releases are fairly universal, so we're guessing we'll see the range either on the same day as the American release or very soon afterwards. In the meantime, we're keeping an eye on the Huda Beauty and Sephora Instagram pages for more sneak peeks. Stay tuned for more details!
