Pre-orders open today for Huawei's new flagship phone, and you'll get a free smart speaker if you act fast.

Huawei is wasting little time at its launch of the Huawei P30 and Huawei P30 Pro, announcing that its new flagship handsets will go on pre-order today, with actual availability from 16 April 2019.

Phone pre-orders are often sweetened with a free offering, and in Huawei's case, it has taken the somewhat unusual step of bundling a free Sonos One smart speaker with the Huawei P30 or Huawei P30 Pro if you pre-order it in Australia by 15 April 2019.

It's an unusual inclusion in that the Huawei P30 and Huawei P30 Pro are Android phones with Google Assistant onboard, but to date, the Sonos One is an Alexa-only device. You can pretty easily install Alexa on a Huawei P30 or Huawei P30, and Sonos has been promising Google Assistant integration for some time with the Sonos One, but it has yet to actually make it work.

The Huawei P30 Pro will cost $1,599 outright, or you can get it on contract with Telstra, Vodafone and Optus. Optus is taking the unusual step of offering the Huawei P30 and Huawei P30 Pro in a full dual SIM configuration. If you score one through Telstra or Vodafone, it'll be a strictly single-SIM affair.
