Huawei announces Huawei Watch GT
Huawei's latest wearable can run for up to 2 weeks between charges.
It was widely tipped that Huawei would announce its new wearable at its Mate 20 launch today and it did just that, announcing the Huawei Watch GT. It's a stylish wearable with a 1.39-inch OLED, 454x454 pixel display.
Huawei's big selling point for the Huawei Watch GT is the dual chip at its heart that allows it to last, as per Huawei's claims, for up to two weeks in-between charges. It features water resistance of up to 50m, with Huawei's Richard Yu claiming that it would be fine to take swimming or diving.
Heart rate monitoring is built in, as well is sleep tracking. Huawei Australia hasn't yet announced local pricing or availability, so we'll have to wait and see if we get it released down under.
At the launch, Huawei's Richard Yu announced pricing of €199/€249, which would equate out to around $322/$400 after conversion.
