Diego Maradona is undeniably one of the greatest footballers that has ever lived. Captaining Argentina to a famous World Cup victory in 1986, he also became a legend in club football in Italy and his home country.

There was also a darker side to Maradona's life, featuring heavy drug use, brushes with the law and organised crime and regular health issues. It contributed to his death on 26 November AEDT at the age of just 60.

In 2019, a stunning documentary was released on the Argentine's life. It was widely acclaimed and picked up a string of awards, including the BAFTA Award for Best Documentary.

Now that Maradona has died, there will be increased interest in the legend that was his life on and off the pitch.
