How to earn Qantas Points on Airbnb bookings

Earn Qantas Points at over 7 million Airbnb homes around the world.

Whether you’re shacking up in a sleek apartment in Melbourne, lapping up waterfront views from a tropical villa in Bali or living it up in a stylish condo in LA, there are plenty of ways for you to earn Qantas Points on your next Airbnb booking.

Use this guide to discover how many points you can earn with Airbnb and the steps you need to take to earn a reward for your next Airbnb stay.

How to earn Qantas Points with Airbnb

You can earn 1 Qantas Point per $1 spent on Airbnb bookings. Earning points on your Airbnb booking is simple, just make sure you book through the Qantas website and include your Qantas Frequent Flyer number.

You can follow these four easy steps to start earning Qantas Points with Airbnb:

  1. Visit qantas.com/hotels/airbnb
  2. Filter your choices by your travel destination, check-in and check-out dates and number of guests.
  3. Select “Continue to Log In” and enter your Qantas Frequent Flyer number, surname and PIN.
  4. Book your Airbnb, earn some Qantas Points and enjoy your stay!

The points can take up to eight weeks to appear in your account after you’ve checked out from your Airbnb. If you cancel or request a refund for your Airbnb booking, you won’t earn any Qantas Points.

Score 500 bonus Qantas Points on your first Airbnb booking

When you make your first Airbnb booking via the Qantas website, you'll receive 500 bonus Qantas Points! That's on top of the usual 1 point per $1 spent on Airbnb bookings.

Use your credit card to earn more points

If you use a Qantas Frequent Flyer credit card to book your Airbnb, you can double dip to increase your points. This is because you’ll earn points both on your Qantas credit card and through the Qantas partnership with Airbnb.

If you have a credit card that earns 1 Qantas Point per $1 spent on eligible purchases, you can earn 2 points per $1 spent if you book through the Qantas website and use your Qantas credit card to pay for it. Doubling your points potential!

Qantas Frequent Flyer is currently the only Australian frequent flyer program that offers points earning on Airbnb stays. Airbnb is often a cheaper accommodation alternative and earning points on every $1 you spend could be the cherry on top of your next holiday or work trip.

If you’re looking for more ways to earn points on accommodation, you can also earn Qantas Points with partnered hotels including Adina Apartment Hotels, select Crown hotels in Australia, Langham hotels and Travelodge. See our guide to earning Qantas Points at Hotels for more details.
