How to buy the exclusive Matteau spring capsule collection
This Aussie swimwear brand is making a splash internationally, and we can see why.
If there's one thing that Australians are known for, it's our love of all things beachy. Whether we're spending a Saturday arvo having a BBQ with some mates, reading a book on a towel on the beach or having a quick dip in the waves, the beach is what we do best. So it comes as no surprise that we also do some pretty impressive swimwear.
Queensland-based brand Matteau has made a significant splash in the global market, expanding their collection of elegant, classy swimwear to include ready-to-wear beachwear in an exclusive partnership with Net-a-Porter.
The brand, whose ethos is to create the perfect "jeans and a T-shirt" for the beach, is definitely getting a lot more attention state-side now that the pieces have been papped on some of the world's most beautiful women – celebrities are in on it too, with Rosie Huntingdon-Whitely a huge fan.
One half of the founding pair, Ilona Hamer told Vogue, "We just want to create wonderful additions for a travelling wardrobe."
"These are pieces to wear over your swimsuit or mix with your Céline and Lemaire."
Where to buy the Matteau spring collection
Designed exclusively for Net-a-Porter, the collection is made for a mix of high fashion and everyday wear. If you're dying to get your hands on one of these ready-to-wear pieces you'll have to head straight there – do not pass go.
With a button-down shirt and floaty dress on offer, you'll be able to complete your beach look easily and stylishly. So take it from us here in Australia – if we say something beach-related is good, you know it's true.
The collection will be available on Net-a-Porter, where you'll find the existing swimwear range that is guaranteed to make anyone feel beach-ready (and we all know that half the struggle when buying a bikini especially, is feeling confident).
