According to the Dego Finance website, users can readily mint new NFTs and launch them for auction or trade. The platform has also focused on integrating with multiple blockchains including Ethereum, Polkadot and Binance Smart Chain as well as layer-2 technologies to help developers create more diverse and featureful NFT applications. The Dego NFT Suite is designed to offer products to cover the full lifecycle of NFTs. Dego’s NFT Foundry allows users to mint NFTs with unique attributes and rarity grades. Dego NFT Mining can be used to stake NFTs and mine rewards, while Dego NFT Marketplace allows users to trade NFTs with other users. DEGO is the governance and equity token of the Dego platform. It allows token holders to vote on development proposals and pay for NFT minting, staking, auctions and trading.

What to consider when buying Dego Finance

Cryptocurrencies are highly volatile and risky assets. Before making a purchase an investor should consider all aspects of the token and the associated platform. Here are a few things to consider before purchasing DEGO:
  • Payment for NFT suite. Token holders can use DEGO tokens to pay for NFT minting, staking, auctions and trading.
  • User participation. DEGO tokens are also used to reward user participation within the platform. Examples of user participation include bounty hunting.
  • Supply and tokenomics. The total supply of DEGO tokens is capped at 21 million tokens. Of the 21 million, 80% are reserved for mining rewards. The token is deflationary and has been designed so that over time DEGO tokens are destroyed.
  • Dividends. Every time a user transfers a DEGO token 0.2% of the transferred amount is collected as trading fees. Half of these fees are burned instantly. The remaining half is transferred to the dividend pool. Of the funds in the dividend pool, 20% are used to incentivise volunteer developers, 40% are used for the NFT auction pool and 40% are used for follow up modules.
  • Governance. DEGO is the governance token of the platform, which allows holders to participate in decision making. For stage 1 of the development plan, five representatives from the DEGO team vote on governance proposals. Three yes votes are required for each decision. As Dego Finance moves to stage 2, token holders can reelect representatives and can vote on proposals to change the system parameters.
