You can hot air balloon over the MacDonnell Ranges from Alice Springs with Outback Ballooning.
It is recommended that you wear enclosed shoes, sneakers being the best option. It may be more comfortable if you bring a jacket or scarf as temperatures aren't likely to be warm in the early hours of the morning.
