Posted: 5 April 2018 5:10 pm

Visit to Asia's city that never sleeps for $40 less when you fly Qantas instead of Virgin Australia.

Right now, Qantas is running a sale on flights to Hong Kong with fares starting from $529 return for select dates from 18 July to 13 September.

On the official website, prices start at $529 however we found that you can save even more on similar flights if you book through BYOJet instead. Flights via the online travel agency start at $509 giving you $20 more to spend on dim sims.

Through BYOJet you can also score Sydney-Hong Kong flights from $529 and Brisbane-Hong Kong from $568.

Flights with Qantas include checked bags, meals and entertainment so you won’t have to pay fork out for extras in-flight.

To book: Head over to BYO Jet online to pick your best dates and secure your seat.

The Qantas Hong Kong sale ends 12 April unless seats sell out prior.

How good are these fares?

We often see Qantas sale fares in the $500s so you know you’re on to a good deal with this one.

Compared to Virgin Australia’s current offer for direct flights from Melbourne or Sydney to Hong Kong for $549, you’re saving up to $40 with similar travel dates.

This isn't exactly the best time to visit Hong Kong, though, as you'll be travelling during the months when Hong Kong receives the most rain and its typhoon season. Think indoor activities like museums and temples and pack your umbrella.
