Marc Terrano 17 August 2013

First home buyers, mum and dad investors and seasoned professionals get a chance to learn from the experts

It’s been a tumultuous year for trade shows. The cancelling of the Motor Show in 2013 signalled the end of a reign for the titan of the expo circuit. But motor enthusiasts and property aficionados are a different breed of people.

Spread over three days, from the 18th to the 20th of July, the event brings experts from all over the country to share the knowledge gained from years of experience within the industry. Thousands attended the first day of the 2013 Sydney Home Buyer and Property Investor Show at the Sydney Exhibition and Convention Centre. Which is no surprise considering the event is the premier property expo in Australia.

investors, the show caters to amateurs and aficionados alike. Property experts like Mark Bouris, Chris Gray, Bryce Holdaway and Margaret Lomas spoke about topics ranging from the right way to diversify your portfolio, how to create $2,500 per week debt free with property investment through to saving money in interest repayments and cutting through the clutter of property and finance advertising. There were over 80 free seminars spread out over the three days.

There was a small fee to enter, $20 for a full adult; however, there were a number of online vouchers which could get you into the show for free.

In addition to a number of free seminars running throughout the day, there are a range of exhibitors who were happy to discuss their value proposition to those who were happy to listen. There were more than 60 stalls, including representatives from the Commonwealth Bank, AMP, ANZ, Aussie, Domain.com.au, Property Observer, Yellow Brick Road Wealth Management, St.George and Lifestyle Property Wealth to name a few.
