Hello, I am an international student who has purchased a regular OSHC. I have developed allergies and eczema in Sydney and would like to check for allergens. May I ask if allergen testing (blood and skin tests) is included in the reimbursement scope?

      Hi Clariya,

CBHS International’ Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) does not explicitly mention allergy testing in its standard cover details. However, OSHC generally covers consultations with doctors, including specialists, which may be a necessary step before allergy testing. If a doctor determines allergy testing is required, the consultation with the doctor and the subsequent allergy testing (if it’s a service covered by Medicare) would be covered under OSHC. Hope this helps!
