Perfect for a casual stroll through the Upside Down.

In case you had forgotten, today is the 4th of July. And while that doesn't usually mean a lot to us Aussies, this year it does because it means that we are just hours away from binge-watching the third season of Stranger Things. In case you feel like dressing up for the occasion, Havaianas has just released a cool new line celebrating the release to sort you out.

Available now from the Havaianas site and City Beach, there are two new pairs of classic Havaianas thongs up for grabs for $40 a pop. Each style pays tribute to the Netflix original show as well as to Havaianas' Brazilian roots.

In an Instagram video released by the brand, an 80s Brazilian trend is explained where people would flip the strap of their Havaianas to give the shoes a monochromatic look. Putting the style Upside Down, as it were. Strange.

So, what are the new designs?

The first design sees a black rubber sole decorated with iconic graphics from Season 1. These include a cassette tape, baseball cap, a demogorgon and, of course, the Christmas lights that Joyce uses to communicate with Will while he's stuck in the Upside Down. Bad luck, Will.

The second iteration sees a navy footbed reminiscent of the night sky paired with white straps. The left shoe features Mike, Dustin and Lucas on their bikes as they set out to look for Will. The other sole sees a flipped design representing the Upside Down dimension, alongside a demogorgon and contrasting red Stranger Things logo.

Each design from the collection is available in sizes 35 through to 46 and is made from premium Brazilian rubber.

The Havaianas line is the latest to celebrate the iconic show, with Nike, Levi's and H&M having already announced their own Stranger Things capsule collections.
