Gumbuya World opens delivering four worlds in one Aussie themed park
Australia has a fun new theme park, just in time for the holidays!
Australia's latest theme park has arrived in time to welcome the Aussie summer - and the summer holidays.
Named Gumbuya World it's located just an hour outside of Melbourne and it features four distinct worlds of adventure to explore.
You can soak up the summer sun in Oasis Springs, a water theme park. Test your nerves in the drops of Taipan and Boomerango or ride the waves in their Surfs Up experience. When you’ve had enough excitement, coast along the 300-metre Lazy River.
Dry off and head to Oz Adventure where you’ll find the Mining Race Coaster, a giant tree swing, and even a trackless train you can ride and explore the whole park. Hold on tight as you’re launched into the air on the adrenaline pumping Rush Hour.
There’s even a whole world dedicated to the littlies. Outback Explorers features a host of rides, including Berry Twirl, a super-sweet spin ride. You can also have a swing on the Outback Pirate ship or bump into your friends on the Desert Derby dodgem track.
End your day at Wildlife Trail where you can get up close and personal with some furry friends. Wander through the bushland setting and spend some time with the 52 species of mostly Australian animals. Take a selfie with some adorable koalas and dingoes or be daring and say hello to some insects and baby crocodiles in the Critter Cave.
The doors are open now and the park is prepped and ready to join the ranks of Australia's best theme parks. Prices start from $49 for adults and $43 for kids with entry for tots under 3 for free.
