Be the first in Australia to 100% GT Sport, and you could earn yourself a real-life Platinum Trophy.

The second stage of Sony Australia's PlayStation Platinum Trophy competition launches off the starting line today, with a new real-life Platinum Trophy (replica platinum, we're afraid) available for players of the just-launched racer Gran Turismo Sport.

Exclusive to Down Under, Sony's Platinum Hunters competition tasks Aussie players with unlocking all in-game trophies for a specific title, in this case, GT Sport. The first person to earn all the game's trophies, snap a screenshot of it using the SHARE button on PS4 and then post it to Facebook or Twitter using the @PlayStationAU and #PlusPlatinumHunters tags will score themselves a replica Platinum Trophy, one of only four Sony is giving away as part of the competition.

The first title in the competition, which has now wrapped up, was FIFA 18, and once the fastest Aussie driver has snapped up GT Sport's trophy, next in line will be Call of Duty: WWII when it launches on 3 November. The fourth and final title, meanwhile, has yet to be announced.

Where to find the best price on GT Sport in Australia

We've had plenty to say on GT Sport recently, with our review-in-progress praising the game's unparalleled attention-to-detail while lamenting that the game's reduced car roster and reliance on online connectivity prevent it from hitting the highs of the series' previous instalments. We also spoke with the developer behind Project Cars 2, who had some interesting things to say about GT Sport's approach to esports.
