Scoot has just dropped the price of summer airfares to Athens, Greece, down to as little as $774 return from Australia.

The cheapest fares are available from Perth, at $774 return, with flights also available from Sydney for $884, Melbourne for $945 and Gold Coast for $999.

Flights to the Mediterranean paradise are available for travel on select dates from 20 June until 28 October, which is peak season in Greece and one of the best times to island hop to places like Santorini, Mykonos and Crete.

For those looking to save while in Greece, book flights toward the end of the season (September and October) as you’ll likely also be able to find lower hotel rates on the islands.

All of Scoot’s flights include just one stop in Singapore, where you can take advantage of some of the perks one of the world’s best layover airports offers including a pool, butterfly garden and complimentary city tours.

As with all Scoot sale fares, the lowest-priced tickets do not include extras like checked baggage, in-flight meals or entertainment.

This sale comes a few months after the Singapore-based budget airline launched the route with a similar sale, although the previous offer had extended travel dates from June 2017 until March 2018.

The sale ends at 2:59am AEDT (which is midnight in Perth) on 28 November.
