Here is some other equipment that you'll need as a graphic designer:

  • Computer. A powerful model is a necessity to handle all the heavy-duty software you'll be using.
  • Large high definition monitor. A high-end monitor makes it easier to produce quality work.
  • Monitor calibrator. Ensure your monitor is displaying colours as accurately as possible.
  • Graphics tablet and stylus. The pressure-sensitive control of this pairing means precise drawing and ultimate creativity.
  • External hard drive. Something portable to store and backup the masses of data you are likely to accumulate.
  • Ergonomic furniture. You're likely to spend long hours at your computer so make sure you have a comfy chair and everything is adjusted to the right height.
