Google opens up Google Pixel 2 pre-orders in Australia
Google's latest premium smartphone is now available to pre-order from the Google Store and JB Hi-Fi.
Google has started taking pre-orders for its Google Pixel 2 and Google Pixel 2 XL phones through its online Google Store, with predicted availability for the two phones in November, although at the time of writing, the smaller Pixel 2 was completely sold out.

Google's opening up of pre-orders has also prompted JB Hi-Fi to commence online pre-orders for both the Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2, although if you order there you're limited to only the Just Black and Clearly White colours for either handset, and the Pixel 2 128GB in Just Black only. Google's online store also offers the Pixel 2 in Kinda Blue and Black and White finishes in either storage size.
Either way, the pricing is identical, with the Pixel 2 priced at $1079 for the 64GB variant and $1229 for the 128GB version, and the Pixel XL 2 priced at $1339 with 64GB of storage and $1549 for the 128GB version. Google's own branded Android phones have never supported external storage, although like their predecessors you do get unlimited cloud backup storage for photos taken on the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL.
