I reviewed Glow Recipe's watermelon-infused face mist and obsessed is an understatement.

Why we love this product

If you haven't heard about Glow Beauty, you need to try the great range of products. They are inspired by Korean technology – using natural fruit extracts to soften, plump and hydrate the skin. The products from Glow Recipe reached cult status because of their addictive formulas, textures and scents. Apart from the iconic Pineapple-C Bright Serum, the Watermelon Glow Ultra-Fine Mist is a must-try product. Since it first dropped in February, it quickly became a staple in beauty closets everywhere. I couldn't resist and jumped on the bandwagon – now I can't stop using it.

The quick verdict

Why is it good? Not only does this product smell delicious, but the ultra fine mist delivers a fabulous burst of hydration.

How much is it? $43 for 75mL

Where to buy it? Cult Beauty and eBay

What makes it so good? It all comes down to the ingredients. This isn't just your regular spray that's mostly made up of water. Glow Recipe has combined the magic of watermelon with a special ingredient, apple cider vinegar. It has loads of benefits, especially for your skin, like anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties.

On the other hand, this product is also made up of 84% watermelon. It's rich in amino acids and vitamins, hyaluronic acid to add hydration and hibiscus flower AHA to prep, brighten and smooth. Bottling up this cocktail of ingredients into a safe and diluted mist means you reap all the benefits and are left with gorgeous glowing skin.

And that's exactly what my experience was. My skin is not dry or oily, it's normal, but I do suffer from acne. The Watermelon Glow accompanied me on my three week trip to Greece, which involved humid weather and plenty of sweating. Unfortunately, if I sweat too much, little pimples start forming.

It's safe to say this facial mist became my best friend during my trip away. I went through the bottle like crazy! Not only did it give my skin a much needed refresh, but it worked perfectly to combat the effects of sweating. The Watermelon Glow controlled this by keeping my skin feeling fresh and clean.

I used it in between my skincare routine and makeup routine, and constantly throughout the day. I love how it made my skin look dewy and bright, while feeling hydrated and totally refreshed. It's so easy to obsess over the fresh and fruity scent! However, it is definitely not overpowering and is such a delight, especially during the hot weather.

The brand recommends you shake before use, which is true, because I found that sometimes the ingredients would start to separate inside the bottle. Don't freak out though, this is totally normal and it's just due to the natural ingredients.

But that's not all – another great element to the Watermelon Glow is the mist. It is seriously ultra-fine and it kind of feels like fog as you spray it on your face. This means it won't disturb your makeup and leave you with white dots or water marks. It also ensures you receive an even application all over your face. I have never tried a facial mist like this before and I truly believe that everyone needs to try it for themselves.

Glow Recipe's Watermelon Glow Mist is not cheap. It will set you back $43 for 75mL. Now I know what you're thinking – $43 for just a face mist?! But let me tell you, I would happily repurchase this product again and again because it's just that good.

Where to buy

You can shop from Glow Recipe online but shipping can get expensive. I personally prefer to shop the brand from retailers like Cult Beauty and eBay.
