How To Get Your Own Personalised Credit Card

Create your own credit card design, and stand out from your friends!

There are so many different types of credit cards on the market now. They have become a ubiquitous part of our lives. And because they are so common, there are ways that you can individualise your credit card and make it all your own and set apart from the crowd.

History of older credit card designs

Earlier credit card designs were fairly plain and lacking in any distinguishable design. Most of the time credit cards were made up of one or two colours and the important numbers. After a short period of time banks began to realise the importance of visual branding and began to drive more efforts into making their card designs recognisable. Banks began to use the logo, colour, advertising characters and endorsements to increase the exposure of their brands.

While a majority of companies are content to leave their designs simple, there are others that are allowing customers to run wild with their imaginations to bring their personalised credit cards to life. Credit card designs range from sports teams, motor vehicles and even Disney characters to allow cardholders to express their personalities through their plastic.

Personalised Credit cards give you a personal feel that can provide that individuality that many customers are striving for. There are restrictions, however, on the lengths your designs can go to. For example, you may not use another credit card provider's logo. You are also not allowed to misrepresent your card in any way meaning that you may not imply that it is a platinum or gold card when it isn't. Compare the credit cards below to place your favourite image on your credit card today.

Are there extra costs associated with designing my card?

When you make personalised credit cards, the provider will generally charge a fee for the service. However, there are some companies that are allowing customers to do this for free. It is also important to understand that changing the design of your credit card does not, in any way, change the terms and conditions of your card. This is a standard agreement and any changes must be taken up directly with the card company.
