After resounding success with the first Warmer Cruising sale last year, Fred. Olsen has brought it back for the 2017-2018 cruise season. Until 18 October you can find up to 40% off a selection of 32 balmy cruises departing from October 2017 to March 2018.

This year the focus is on Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa and the Indian Ocean, as well as select trips around Portugal and the Canary Islands, passages to Egypt and comfortable trips around Scandinavia. Best of all, some of these are departing from Australia, Malaysia and other nearer ports, rather than Fred. Olsen's typical UK departures.

This sale is seeing the release of a handful of curious "mystery cruises" too, departing from the UK's main ports of Southampton, London Tilbury, Liverpool, Dover, Harwich and Rosyth.

As always, Fred. Olsen is all about the experiences, and all trips are on smaller and more intimate-sized vessels. There are 32 incredible voyages going for up to 40% off right now, with trips and prices like:

Exploring the World's Ancient Icons - up to 30% off - 38 nights from £3,799

Depart Kuala Lumpur on 17 March 2018 and go to all the must-see destinations around the world with this adult-only cruise. See Malaysia, Burma and India, and then head over to the Middle East to visit Petra in Jordan, relax on the shores of a Red Sea resort and explore the famous marine life at Sharm el-Sheikh.

From here, you'll sail through the desert by passing through the Suez Canal, stop off in Alexandria and then make your way to a selection of Turkey's best seaside resorts. From there it's onwards to Athens for the Acropolis and the old city, and then a range of Italy's must-sees, including Florence, the leaning tower of Pisa, Civitavecchia (for Rome) and Tuscany. After departing Italy, your ship Black Watch will sail around the coast of Spain with a stop in Malaga before returning to one of its home ports in Southampton.

Amazon River Adventures - Up to 25% off - 14 nights from £1,399

Starting in Barbados, you'll explore the Amazon from the world famous river, on board the Braemar. Expect a trip filled with wildlife and natural wonders, with an itinerary that includes Manaus and the famous spot in Santarem where you can see the waters meet. Enjoy traditional cultural experiences, and continuing natural wonders, on the later part of the journey and then head off to the Caribbean to wind down with sun and sand, before returning to your departure point in Barbados.

Easter Mystery Cruise - 5 nights from £499

Leave the details to Fred. Olsen with an intriguing mystery cruise aboard the Boudicca, departing from Dover on 29 March 2018 on a short yet rewarding 5-night cruise. Your captain will keep each port secret until the last possible moment, so you and the other like-minded guests can work it out yourself before arrival.

It's an exciting and affordable getaway, but rest assured you'll still experience the full measure of Fred. Olsen's attentive service.

There are 29 other cruises in total to scope out, departing for dates up until March 2018, each with its own select itinerary. If you want a trip to Rio de Janeiro for Carnival, an opportunity to explore the German Christmas markets or a sedate journey along the rivers of Belgium or Scandinavian fjords, now's the time to get it for up to 40% less.
