Get up to $100 cash back with AMEX in November

Sally McMullen 31 October 2016

Spend $20 with local retailers to get $10 cash back on your American Express credit card with this month's Shop Small promotion.

While American Express' Shop Small promotions usually only last a weekend, credit card holders can look forward to cash back rewards for the entire month of November. With the latest promotion, you can earn a $10 credit when you spend $20 or more in one transaction at participating stores between 31 October until 30 November 2016.

You can take advantage of this offer up to 10 times, giving you the chance to score $100 worth of cash back on your account before the offer ends. Note that you can only earn one credit per participating small business, though, so you'll need to spend with different included retailers if you want to take advantage of the full reward.

Designed to support small businesses and break the myth that it's hard to find local businesses that support American Express, you can take advantage of the offer by using your American Express credit card to pay on plastic at local cafes, restaurants, bars and retailers. You can use the map on the American Express website to search the name or an address to see which of your local haunts are involved. Plus, you can also filter your choices down by the types of shops. So whether you want to wine and dine, book some entertainment, go on a shopping spree or make travel plans, you can customise the Shop Small promotion to suit your spending needs.

The offer is only available to the first 125,000 that sign up for the offer, so jump on the American Express website and do that now if you want to secure your chance to earn cash back this month.
