Batman: Arkham Knight

Don’t lie. You have always wanted to be Batman. In fact, I don’t know why any of the many billionaire, playboy philanthropists haven’t at least attempted to be Batman. Being Batman is the easy part; having enough money to buy a sweet car and cool gadgets is the hard part. Get your life together billionaire, playboy philanthropists.

Well, those of us who don’t have billions of dollars can live out our dream of being The Dark Knight by playing video games. Batman Arkham Knight is the final instalment in the Rocksteady Arkham trilogy. Batman has one night to stop Scarecrow and the mysterious Arkham Knight, who are threatening to unleash a deadly gas upon Gotham city.

Big W is currently selling Batman Arkham Knight for $19.00, which is a saving of $30.00.

Call of Duty Advanced Warfare

Call of Duty is a behemoth franchise. A game about shooting foreigners with high-powered weaponry rakes in millions of dollars with each release.  Now, Call of Duty revolutionises the first-person shooter with the implementation of an entirely new, never-before-seen mechanic, the double jump.

Call of Duty Advance Warfare stars’ robot legs, double-jumps, and Kevin Spacey’s thousand-yard stare. If the single-player isn’t your thing, you can play online against real people, who will probably kill you as soon as you spawn.

Big W is currently selling Call of Duty Advanced Warfare for $10.00, which is a saving of $79.00.

Here are the week's best deals on PS4 games.

Rockstar has pioneered the sandbox genre for some time and with each subsequent release, it sets the standard of what a sandbox game should be. Grand Theft Auto Five is no different.

Grand Theft Auto Five puts you in control of three different characters, Michael, Trevor, and Franklin, who each have their own goals, agendas and mental problems. You can follow the main characters' stories, play online with your friends, or, just steal cars and kill random pedestrians. The choice is yours.

EB Games is currently selling Grand Theft Auto Five for $49.98, which is a saving of $49.97.

GTA V is also available on PC for $42.99.

Life is Strange

The best things in life are free. This is especially true when it comes to video games.

Life is Strange follows the story of photography senior student, Max Caulfield, who discovers that she has the ability to rewind time. With the help of her best friend, Chole Price, Max will investigate the mysterious disappearance of a fellow student and discover the many secrets of her hometown.

The entire series is also available on Xbox One.

Here are the week's best deals on PC games.

Battlefield Hardline: Criminal Activity

The Battlefield franchise is one of the biggest first-person shooter series of all time. Usually, Battlefield focuses on military warfare. In a series first, Battlefield Hardline puts players in control of officers of the law as they battle dangerous criminals.

The Battlefield gameplay is relatively the same. Big explosions, bombastic set pieces, and shooting high-powered weaponry on a large battlefield are all present in this entry. Though, not an accurate representation of the struggles of law enforcement, it is still an exciting game to play.

The DLC for Battlefield Hardline, Criminal Activity, is currently free to download on Origin.

Battlefield 1 releases 21 October 2016 and is available for preorder now.

Dark Souls 3

Praise the Sun! Dark Souls Three is on sale!

Dark Souls Three is the final entry in the Souls series developed by From Software. You know you have heard about these games. The conversation has either gone, “those games are too hard,” or, “Dark Souls is easy.” Neither of which are accurate descriptions. This is a massive recommendation, play Dark Souls now! These games are fantastic and once you understand how the game plays, you are in for an extremely rewarding experience.

EB Games is currently selling Dark Souls Three for $68.00, which is a saving of $21.95.

Dark Souls 3 is selling cheaper again on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Wii U

Here are the week's best gaming deals for Nintendo Wii U.

Mario Kart 8

Have you got a good circle of friends? Good, because you are about to lose them.

Mario Kart is probably one of the greatest video game series of all time. You know it, I know it, and if you deny it, you are lying to yourself.  You can play as all of your favourite Mario characters as they race around tracks inspired by numerous Mario games.

Ozgameshop is currently selling Mario Kart 8 for $57.99.

Guitar Hero Live

Do you want to rock out with you Wiimote out? Neither do I. That’s why they supply a plastic guitar.

Guitar Hero is back after a long hiatus. It is time to pick up your plastic guitar and play in front of a pre-recorded live audience. You can finally live out your life-long dream of playing in a band, while not having to actually have to learn an instrument. Good stuff.
