Games With Gold October 2017: Going home for a stellar adventure

Matt Sayer 28 September 2017 NEWS

Gone Home and The Turing Test bring big adventures in this month's Games With Gold.

Racing fans had a lot to like about September's Games With Gold line-up, with Forza Motorsport 5 burning rubber across Xbox Ones worldwide. Story-loving gamers weren't left out in the cold, either, with the excellent Oxenfree weaving a compelling tale of paranormal mysteries and teenage angst.

October's roster is no less impressive. Gone Home: Console Edition continues the trend of high-quality narrative experiences, exploring the complications of a teenage relationship that bucks expectation. For fans of sci-fi, meanwhile, The Turing Test offers an intriguing take on the concepts of artificial intelligence and what it really means to be sentient.

If you're looking for something a little lighter to keep you entertained, the remastered 3D platformer Rayman 3 HD is available both on Xbox 360 and Xbox One via backwards compatibility. Rounding up the month's roster is the classic 360 FPS Medal of Honor: Airborne, also playable on both Xbox One and Xbox 360.
