Bayonetta and Trials Fusion lead this month's Games with Gold.

Last month's vibrant lineup of Games with Gold brought us the wonderful Grown Up, Runbow and LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game. Oh, and Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days. One of these things is not like the others.

This month keeps up the colourful releases with Trials Fusion and Slime Rancher, which is leaving Early Access and debuting on Xbox One in August.

Those stuck in the last console generation can pick up the action-packed hack-and-slash Bayonetta or the explosive Red Faction: Armageddon for free on Xbox 360 this month.

We loathed Trials of the Blood Dragon, mostly because it desecrated the legacy of the super addictive Trials series.

List of Games with Gold August 2017

  • Slime Rancher, Xbox One (1 August - 31 August)
  • Trials Fusion, Xbox One (15 August - 15 August)
  • Bayonetta, Xbox 360 (1 August - 15 August)
  • Red Faction: Armageddon, Xbox 360 (16 August - 31 August)

It's worth noting you have until 31 July to download Grown Up (which made our list of the best kids games for 2017), until 15 August to download Runbow, and until 31 July to download LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean.
