Overwatch will soon be free on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and both Xbox and PlayStation announce the monthly free games round-up.

Every week, finder searches far and wide for the best gaming deals in Australia. This week, people who haven’t experienced Overwatch will be able to try the game for free and JB Hi-Fi has an Xbox One S bundle for the die-hard Halo fans. Over at ozgameshop, you can pick up Mirror's Edge Catalyst for just $32.00 and more titles for up to 90% off.

Overwatch Free Weekend

Overwatch has become one of the most iconic games of recent memory. All of the heroes have a distinct and memorable look and a move-set to match. It also helps that this game is just really, really good.

If you haven’t had a chance to give Overwatch a red-hot college try, Blizzard will be allowing new players to try it for free. The "Overwatch Free Weekend" will occur during September 9-12. Players will be able to try out Overwatch’s full roster of 22 characters and 13 maps.

The Overwatch Free Weekend will be available on the PlayStation Store.


Ozgameshop: 90% off clearance items

Ozgameshop is once again running its 90% off sale. This time around, Mirror's Edge Catalyst is in the spotlight with over 60% off on PC. Halo is the franchise that boosted the original Xbox’s appeal for many gamers. The success of the series has spawned many sequels and spin-offs and singlehandedly put Microsoft’s console on the map.

PlayStation has announced its PlayStation Plus monthly games. It is just like your birthday every month, just without the disappointing presents.

This month’s roster of free games is pretty good. There is a diverse range of titles that will appeal to all types of gamers, including the artsy Journey and hack and slash Souls wannabe, Lords of the Fallen.

For years, FPS fans and history buffs have wanted to experience WWI in the Battlefield or Call of Duty series' with people yelling unpleasant words over a crackly head-set. EA has finally answered the call with Battlefield 1. After much anticipation, and several hilarious GIFs on Reddit, the Battlefield One Beta is now available on PlayStation 4 (and on Xbox One and PC). The beta will feature one map, the Sinai Desert, and will include two modes: Conquest and Rush.

The beta will be available until 9 September and can be downloaded here for PS4 and here for Xbox One.

The Nintendo 3DS is no stranger to quality Zelda games. The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds is a sequel to fan favourite game A Link to the Past on the Super Nintendo. The game offers the ability for players to become a painting on a wall, which allows them to traverse dangerous areas and enter alternate dimensions.
