Hall awaits Gallen but Sonny Bill rumoured to be next in $2 million fight

Have Paul Gallen and Sonny Bill Williams finally agreed to fight?

It's the fight that has been touted for years now: Paul Gallen vs Sonny Bill Williams. Now it sounds like the fight is finally on. Reports have emerged in the lead-up to the Code War fight between Gallen and Hall that a multi-million dollar fight awaits the retired Sharks legend.

The fight's rumoured to net each boxer $2 million if the fight is split 50/50. While Gallen has been spreading a war of words to promote his fight with Hall, he has now started another battle between Williams and his agent Khoder Nasser.

Gallen went on the record to say that "the fight will be a 50/50 split or it won't be happening".

However, Williams' agent Nasser may have already delivered the knockout blow.

"If Gal honestly thinks he's entitled to a 50/50 cut the poor bugger has had too many head knocks," said Nasser.

While Gallen's 9-0 can now show that he has had more fights than Williams' 7-0, Williams is still the bigger name worldwide.

Look no further than the fact that Williams is headed off to the Toronto Wolfpack to play in the Super League on a 2-year $10 million deal. It's the richest ever deal for either rugby league or rugby union.

Williams' deal will also reportedly have a clause that allows him to fight after the season with the Wolfpack. Gallen and Williams had agreed to fight a few years back but the deal fell through after money couldn't be agreed on.

Maybe now that Williams has landed such a big rugby league deal, he'd be happy to compromise.

Watch Gallen vs Hall: Code War

Until then you can watch Gallen vs Hall this Friday on Main Event pay-per-view. The two will fight at Margaret Court Arena, Melbourne. The entire card starts from 7:30pm AEDT.
