Find out when and where you can shop the world's most sustainable stretch denim, according to G-Star RAW.
Sustainability, and most importantly eco-conscious clothing, is all the rage right now. Major corporations and fashion brands are finally realising how strong their efforts can be in saving the environment. Who's next to join the list? Iconic denim label G-Star RAW. G-Star RAW has just launched a new denim line, calling it the world's most sustainable stretch denim.
Want to try it for yourself? Good news ladies and gents – it's available right now! You can shop the sustainable range from G-Star RAW online, or shop other styles from stockists like THE ICONIC, David Jones and ASOS.
So... what's it made of? Last year, the brand unveiled a different project called the "Most Sustainable Jean Ever". This featured the creation of the first ever Cradle to Cradle Certified Gold denim fabric. This time around, G-Star RAW is building on this fashion innovation and taking it even further.
It features 2% of premium degradable stretch fibre, also known as ROICATM V550, and it comes from Japan. It currently holds a Gold Material Health Certificate from the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute. The collection arrives with eight denim styles to choose from, for both men and women.
In other news, the brand is also launching a program called Recycle Your Jeans. How does it work? From 25 October to 3 November, you can take any pair of your old jeans into a G-Star RAW store (they can be from any brand). As an added incentive, you get a 20% off discount to use on any new pair of G-Star Raw denim. The old denim that is collected will be broken down and mixed with organic cotton to create new products.
